In his fraternity, the basement room where hazing took place was called "the boom boom room". The column didn't give any clear indication what went on, but we can let our imaginations run wild and it probably won't be any wilder than the actuality of a bunch of 19-20 year old men operating in total secrecy in a time where a man wouldn't lodge a complaint because he wouldn't want it known certain things had been done to him, and anyway, everybody had had it done to them.
